Hi

I have a J1.5.26 with Virtuemart 1.1.9 installed at www.furnitureco-op.co.uk
I'm using the following template:
JoomlaShine.com: JSN Epic PRO UNLIMITED - Version: 4.4.4

I've tried to get the Virtuemart integration to work, but without any success.

In the "Template overrides" section, I've ticked the com_virtuemart in the left colunm and then clicked "Copy overrides" but can't see any sign of the overrides in the right column afterwards (browsed away and then back to refresh several times).
I noticed that in my "/templates/jsn_epic_pro/html/" folder didn't contain "com_virtuemart" so I copied the output from "administrator/components/com_j4schema/overrides" to that location and now I see the overrides in the right column, but still there's no sign of any snippets in the product pages etc.

I'm at a loss as to what to look for, or do next. Any help/guidance appreciated.

Chris

ps.
Stab in the dark.....
What should the CHMOD be for files and folders of "/templates/jsn_epic_pro/html/com_virtuemart"

Hello,

if J4Schema can't copy the files, probably there is a permission issue.
Infact, if you can't copy these files, most likely your Apache webserver can't read them.
Usually a 755 for folders and 644 for files is ok, but it depends on who is the owner of that files...
You should ask your hosting these settings.

Thanks for the reply...

Ok... I'm the Host so there's no issues with permissions. If I tick com_jevents, it copies the com_jevents to the html folder. This proves the permissions are good for the folder. I've also double checked the permissions all the way through the path, and all is correct.

What does "Overrides will be installed as a new template" mean?

When I use the Copy Overrides button, I get the following message "J4Schema custom template override folders copied successfully. Virtumart overrides installed as new template with name 'j4schema'" What is this telling me? I've looked for that folder but nothing found :(

Sorry, I missed the part that you are using Joomla 1.5, my fault ;(

Virtuemart 1.x doesn't support template overrides, so J4Schema creates another Virtuemart template.
It's the same of the standard one, but it has microdata inside it.

Once you copy the overrides, you'll be able to choose the new template inside Virtuemart.
Then you'll see microdata in your site.

Ah bugger....

I'm using a specific VM template so the look and feel of the shop would totally change! That makes it a no go, unless anyone has any suggestions? All I want is the product page to have product snippets.

Cheers
Chris

You can open the J4Schema template and watch for the token that are used.
Then, inside you template, copy them on the right position.

Since we're using tokens, things are much simpler than injecting all the properties needed by Schema.org
