I hand typed that page and it works fine. I am using the j4schema on this page
http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pollenranch.com%2Frecipes%2Fcheeses%2Fitem%2F1355-goat-cheese-with-fennel-pollen&html=
So far I just don't get where it goes wrong. I am seeing your plugin doing the same thing I am hand typing yet it gives me red issues.

Warning: Page contains property "photo" which is not part of the schema.
Warning: Page contains property "servingsize" which is not part of the schema.
Warning: Page contains property "summary" which is not part of the schema.
Warning: Page contains property "ingredient" which is not part of the schema.

I am cheating with this page

figured it out. You are using: schema.org/Recipe
and google references: data-vocabulary.org/Recipe
They do not seem to play along the same terms.

For instance: schema.org uses image and data-vocabulary.org uses photo. So when I am using the google check it gives an error if the type is not the same. Doh! Now to my new question. What is the difference? Other than obvious word choices which is absurd.

things were quite messy before schema.org...
before that, you could use microdata or rdfa, there was no common standard.
now, every search engine is using schema.org as schema, so this will be the new standard for the future.

Google still have some pages in which he refers to the old formats, but they are deprecated since they won't be expanded anymore.

Hello,

I have a custom template html5 css3 bootstrap styling and would like to know if I could get some help with adding the schema to it. The template uses the overrides folder and I am, for the life of me, not able to follow the instructions on how to insert the code without actually editing the template files, and if that is the case I am unsure of what I looking for what it comes to certain setups. In particular I am referring to virtuemart. I am using goodrelations but it is failing to show what I want.
